Today we discussed hot science topics such as global warming. We had a heated discussion about why people do not believe in the big bang theory and why some people do not believe a god or gods could have sparked the beginning of the universe. I was really wondering after the discussion why people are so against the thought that there was a beginning to the universe. Then, I sure like many others of you concluded the same thing, I realized it was because if there is a beginning. There is also an implied end. So if there was a beginning to our universe and therefore an end. Could there have been a universe before our time that came to an end as well? To relate this to a Christian perspective, in the book of revelations, depending on how you interpret it, God is essentially creating a new world by ending the old or our present world. Those are my thoughts on the discussion.
